Hey! My name is Yaxi Xiao. I’m an NYC-based Graphic Designer and Motion Designer. I’ve had the honor to contribute to clients including El Pollo Loco, Union Bank, Envestnet, Voyager, Palo Alto Networks, BCG, IBM, Arras Foundation, the Theatr App, Underplay, A’maree’s, Beijing Contemporary Art Foundation, Shenzhen Center for Design, among others. My works have been recognized by the Type Directors Club, Graphis, Effie, The One Show, and the Shorty Awards.

My people describe me as a “Jack-of-all-trades” in design and a technically savvy “Swiss knife” who solves complex problems. I identify as a visual comedy artist at heart. My expertise includes graphic design, motion graphics, video editing, interactive experience, brand identity, digital marketing, and more. I strive to create purpose-driven content with an authentic voice.

Before starting my enlightening design journey at the Big Apple in 2016, I was born and raised in a vibrant new city, Shenzhen, China. I graduated from the School of Visual Arts, BFA, in 2020 with a “Top percentile” portfolio. At SVA, I was lucky to be mentored by the beloved Carin Goldberg, Tom Geismar, Sagi Haviv, Olga Mezhibovskaya, Nada Ray, and Frank Young, among others.

I’m an active member of Asians in Advertising, AIGA, and Omnicom Asian Leader Circle, and I’m always happy to connect with fellows from all kinds of backgrounds.
